Mobile devices connecting to the Internet wirelessly in a breeze 24/7 are not only a fad but increasingly a necessity. And they have the potential to enhance the teaching and learning process.

This paper reports findings from a study of mobile learning implementation at Centro Escolar University (CEU) using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Model (UTAUT). The study used stratified random sampling in selecting participants. Findings show that age and gender when related to performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions toward using technology, are factors in whether the user will adopt the technology. The study found that CEU is ready to implement mobile learning provided an adjustment in effort expectancy and facilitating conditions is made to achieve successful implementation of mobile learning.
