Rapid developments in technology are ushering in new trends and learning opportunities in the field of education. One of these trends is blended learning, where face-to-face instruction and online delivery methods are blended or mixed. However, although many universities here and abroad recognize the potential of blended learning, there is still lack of guidance on its implementation, particularly with regard to how blended learning should be planned, designed and applied.

This paper presents the results of an empirical study on the effect of a blended learning approach on students’ performance in Education subjects. Additionally, the paper presents strategies for how to effectively integrate content, pedagogy, and technology to enhance the teaching and learning of Education courses. Finally, some recommendations for how to effectively blend pedagogy and technology, which can lead to a significant enhancement of the curriculum, are discussed.
